Luis F. Alcocer, a native of Merida, Mexico is a Doctoral Candidate in Education, Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). His research interests focus on Global Citizenship, Global Education issues on the US-Mexico Border, and Hispanic Higher Education. He currently works as an International Programs Specialist and serves on the Staff Senate at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
